The Manson Northwest Webster softball team had a strong start to their 2008 season but finished the season with an overall record of 10-16 and a conference record of 6-6. Four of the Cougar girls received post season honors. Two seniors, Hali Dencklau and Cassie Paterson, were awarded first team all-conference. Kristen Twait (senior) and Tayler Eischeid (junior) earned all-conference second team status. Hali batted .342 in conference play. The Cougar 2nd baseman also had an on base percentage of .405 with 12 runs scored, 11 RBIs, 7 doubles, and 1 HR. Cassie Paterson, an outfielder, batted .333 with an on base percentage of .400 with 5 runs scored, 6 RBIs and 5 doubles. Taylor Eischeid was 6-6 on the mound with a 1.70 earned run average to go along with 37 strikeouts in 70 innings pitched. Kristen Twait, first base, batted .452 in conference play. She also had an on base percentage of .485 with 6 runs scored, and 6RBIs.
